The Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) University of Toronto Student Chapter has won second place for the CSCE Best Student Chapter Award.
“This award reflects the collective efforts from last year’s team, led by our previous co-presidents, Maria Vetrici (Year 3 CivE) and Wael Halabi (Year 3 CivE). They contributed significantly to the success of the club, and we would greatly appreciate it if they could also be acknowledged,” says David Qian (Year 3 CivE) incoming co-president of the club for the 2026-2027 academic year, along with Oleksandra Boiko (Year 3 CivE).
Qian adds, “The participation in the 2026 CSCE Annual Conference marked our student chapter’s first in-person attendance at this event in over 30 years, which is a significant milestone for our group,”
The presentation was made at the conference in Quebec City at the beginning of June. The award was accepted by U of T Student Chapter’s Sean Leung (CSCE U of T Co-op Strategist) and David Qian (CSCE U of T VP Finance).
