DEADLINE: University Consulting Group – applications

The University Consulting Group (UCG) is officially recruiting for the Winter 2021 Engagement! The student-run consulting group serves as a platform for students of all backgrounds to gain experience solving real-life challenges while providing non-profit organizations access to quality professional advisory services. Students from all faculties are invited to submit an application for a Winter Consultant role.

Successful applicants will be placed in a team and serve as consultants for a 10-week engagement in the winter and spring. Each team will collaborate with a client in the non-profit community to solve a unique challenge. In addition, teams will be guided by a professional advisor from a top consulting firm throughout the engagement. Consultants will also receive fundamental consultancy training provided by industry professionals.

The Winter Term will kick-off on February 6th, 2021 and will conclude in April. Typically, every member is expected to dedicate an average of 10-15 hours per week for the duration of the engagement.

UCG will be hosting an information session on January 13th, 2021 from 6:30-7:30PM to answer any questions you have regarding the Fall engagement and the application process. Follow the link below to register for the session:

Please submit a 1-page resume and your answers to the following questions to

  1. Why would you like to join UCG? (1500 characters max.)
  2. Give an example in which you had to work in a team to overcome a challenge? (1500 characters max.)
  3. What are your motivations for working with a Non-Profit Organization? (1500 characters max.)

Individuals selected for interviews will be contacted shortly after their application is received. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis until all spots are filled.
