Mining + Geomechanics
Rock Fracture
The professors focused on rock fracture in the Mining + Geomechanics Research Group carry out fundamental and applied research at the interface between seismology and rock mechanics. Areas of current research interest include rock fracture physics, earthquake processes, geophysics, modelling of dynamic fracture processes, blasting and detonation physics, and performance of explosives.
