Lucia Stafford, a Civil Engineering upper year student, set an under-23 Canadian record on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Boston University Scarlet and White Indoor Invitational. Her third-place finish in the women’s 1500m, with a time of 4:10.22, surpasses her sister’s, Gabriela Stafford, four year old time of 4:11.46.
Stafford, in her fourth year of competition for U of T, has enjoyed stellar results during the 2019-2020 athletic season, including winning the individual gold medal at the 2019 U SPORTS cross country championships in Kingston, Ont. last November.
