An international audience returns to U of T for the week-long course in concrete
 After a five-year hiatus, the course CIV1260 Chemistry of Cement and Concrete returns the week of May 15-19, 2023. The pandemic interrupted the course’s intended 2020 iteration, allowing no opportunity to hold the in-person course until this year. Led by CivMin’s Professor Emeritus Doug Hooton, the pent-up demand has led to one of the largest groups of attendees to date. The international audience, made up largely of industry professionals as well as several graduate students, is gathering this week on campus to hear from eight guest speakers.
For the first time since 2018, the concrete industry’s appetite for CIV11260 is being sated. Please join CivMin in welcoming our over 60 industry and student attendees. It’s been far too long!
