About the presentation: The Keeyask project is one of the largest capital investment projects in the history of the Province of Manitoba. Bechtel led a consortium for the 695-megawatt powerhouse, comprising seven turbine units that provide enough renewable energy to power 400,000 homes. During the presentation, Jacob Mumm, Bechtel’s Senior Vice President & General Manager of Public Infrastructure, will take the students through the lifecycle of the project – expounding on the partnerships and unique approaches taken to successfully construct an engineering masterpiece in a remote area.
About the Speaker: Jacob Mumm is a Senior Vice President & General Manager of Public Infrastructure for Bechtel, a trusted engineering, construction and project management partner to industry and government. He is accountable for the public infrastructure operations of Bechtel’s five Key Customer Groups: Saudi Arabia, Northeast Corridor, California, Australia, and the UK & Ireland.
