Below are the minimum requirements for admission to each of our programs. Please note that meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission.
MASc: Completion of an undergraduate degree equivalent to a four-year University of Toronto degree, with a minimum final year GPA of mid-B (3.0/4.0 or 75%).
MEng: Completion of an undergraduate degree equivalent to a four-year University of Toronto degree, with a minimum final year GPA of mid-B (3.0/4.0 or 75%).
MEngCEM: Completion of an undergraduate degree equivalent to a four-year University of Toronto degree, with a minimum final year GPA of mid-B (3.0/4.0 or 75%). In addition, you must have at least one year of work/professional experience. This can include co-op or practicum experience obtained during your undergraduate degree.
PhD: Completion of a master's degree and an undergraduate degree. GPA for the entire master's degree must be equivalent to a B+ (3.3/4.0 or 78%).

English Language Proficiency (ELP) Requirement
The ELP requirements for admission to our programs differs from those outlined on the School of Graduate Studies website. For our graduate programs, you must provide an official score from a test recognized by the School of Graduate Studies, unless any of the following exemptions apply to you:
- You are a Canadian citizen who studied at a Canadian university where the language of instruction is French
- You completed your admitting degree in Canada or one of the following countries/regions: Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Botswana, Ghana, Guyana, Hong Kong, Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Malta, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States of America, Zambia, and Zimbabwe
Note that official scores are not required at the time of admission, however, those admitted must meet the requirement prior to the start of their program.
