Prof. Doug Hooton has been elected to the grade of Fellow of the Society, with the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE). An official announcement was made in the April 1 edition of the CSCE E-Bulletin.
Though the honour was to be presented at the CSCE’s annual conference in Saskatoon May 27-31, the event has been cancelled.
The following statement was issued by CSCE: “In light of current circumstances, CSCE will be distributing certificates, awards and plaques this year to all winners by ways of mail and/or future local events. With the unfortunate cancellation of this year’s awards gala, all 2020 winners are invited to join us in celebration at the 2021 ACE Awards Gala in Niagara Falls. Details to follow.”
