CivMin Prof. John Harrison has been announced as the winner of the 22nd Glossop Medal by the Engineering Group of the Geological Society. The announcement came during the 2021 Glossop Meeting held at The Royal Institution of Great Britain, in London.
The Glossop Lecture was initiated as the most prestigious lecture of the Engineering Group of the Geological Society, to be presented by an invited eminent engineering geologist. Prof. Harrison will present a lecture provisionally titled “Are you sure? Rethinking geotechnical uncertainty in rock mechanics” at next year’s conference on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at location to be confirmed.
